Sometimes we don’t see the big picture, we get impatient in our goals and it feels like we will never get there. Trust me when I say, it has taken me a long time to learn to put one foot in front of the other. I now realize that the road to accomplishment can be long and every journey must begin with the first step.
When I am gettin…g started on a new goal there are a few things that I keep in mind. First, I must have a very clear picture or vision of what I want and how that ties to my overall mission for my life. Next, I don’t let other people stop me or tell me that I can’t. This is one of the main points that I address when speaking to large groups.
I also don’t wait until the situation is perfect. It’s easy to create obstacles but for those of you who know me, my mantra is create opportunities and focus on them. Ask yourself, “what if?” rather than telling yourself “no way”.
Don’t put pressure on yourself for perfection right out of the gate, though perfection is something you will strive for, you will learn new things along the way and this will help you to perfect your skills.
Remember, good things come to those who wait. Having a vision that is part of a greater mission is very instrumental to success in life. You have to visualize your playbook before the game in order to go out and perform. If you hold true to your vision and your mission and take the proper steps without rushing, you are well on your way to achieving your goal.
So, stay focused on the vision and the mission…Be Open to Change…and get ready for the time of your life!
